I woke up early this morning – around 6:30, and that was after we turned our clocks back an hour. The sun was barely up and I enjoyed wandering the ship and taking pictures.

We were still feeling the motion of the ocean. Prior to sailing, they had tied the foosball tables down! I also wanted to point out the water bottle refilled on deck 9 – we used them often and saved a ton of money, while keeping well hydrated!

I swung by Cabanas, just to peek to see if it happened to be Churro Mickey Waffle day – and it was!!

Two waffles and some bacon later, I made my way back down to the room and met Mom and Eve as they were about to head out for their breakfast. After they had their waffles, it was time for Bingo! The prizes were a bit better spread out today, but we didn’t win…

We moved to the French Quarter Lounge in preparation for trivia later in the morning.

While there, we stumbled upon the start of Intuition (similar to Scattegories). We were given 9 categories, a letter and had a couple of minutes to come up with something for each category. We got a point for each word and a bonus point if we picked the same word the host had. We ended up tied for first! Since the next activity was waiting, there wasn’t time for a tiebreaker, so both teams were awarded Winners Medallions!

I had intended to attend the Anyone Can Cook session, but got caught up in the game, so we held onto our seats and played Rummicube until it was time for Disney Villains Trivia. We’ll just say we had fun and leave it at that!

On to Champagne Tasting with Keneth from India, the sommelier at Palo, held in the Cadillac Lounge. He walked us through five champagnes while teaching us how it’s made, how to properly open a bottle (the cage should always take 6 twists), and what to pair it with (fish is especially good). Mom especially liked the Rose’ and the Moët Ice was my favorite. They also gave us a truffle and a macaron to taste with them. The macaron was the best one I’ve ever had, crispy outside and soft inside.

We decided it was past time for lunch, but were limited to Cabanas at that time of the afternoon. We had a good meal, and found Benjamin, who helped us navigate the buffet with drinks.
We started back in the French Quarter Lounge to play some more games, but ended up making our way to the Crown and Fin pub to get a table for Movie Quote Trivia. Even with Eve on the team, we only got 11 right. Once the game was over the pub cleared out and we were able to continue our Rummicube game.

We did swing by Shutters to purchase our Sailaway picture.

Back to the room for a little bit to relax and change before heading to Tiana’s Place for dinner. The evening lighting really enhanced the room! The Crawfish Crooners entertained us, while Miss Tiana made the rounds along with Louis. Dinner was really good! I had the asparagus with hollandaise, Veal three ways (the shredded was amazing!) and banofee pie (caramel and banana). Mom and Eve both had Thanksgiving (although the stuffing was suspect – no cornbread and it had raisins in it). Eve had the flourless chocolate cake and Mom had the root beer crème (kind of like a root beer flavored custard). While visiting with Benjamin, we learned there are about 1800 guests on board this week – no wonder the dining room looks so empty every night.

We’ll be hearing Dixieland in our dreams tonight! The rocking and rolling of the ship will just set the time for the music!
