Our last day at sea started with another lovely, lazy morning. We had breakfast at the buffet then went down to Ocean Plaza for games and what would be the absolute worst game of trivia ever – but we weren’t alone. We got two of the tv theme show songs – but the winner only got 7. We also played Movie quote trivia, where we got a much more respectable score.

We kept seeing people bringing huge bowls of salads that looked lovely into the area, so we finally asked – they were from the Adult-only area on deck 15, so up we went and got wonderful, made to order salads. We had to bring them downstairs to the buffet to eat because it’s only 55 degrees out and the apparent wind has ranged between 35-50 MPH all day, so the wind chill is colder. (While in the buffet, I may have also gotten a scoop or two of delicious burnt-end Mac-and-Cheese.). After lunch, we decided to do our chores. But after we packed, we played in the casino for a while, then enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the Havanna bar. It was nice, quiet, and most importantly – indoors! Dinner was a return trip to Guy’s Pig and Anchor BBQ – so good!! After a quick stop to buy a really good pic of Mom, it was time to head back to the room and call it a night. They’re kicking us off tomorrow.

It’s here – going home day. We were up early, so we grabbed breakfast at the buffet and carried it down to deck 5 to stake out our spot to wait.

We had a great table at Guy’s BBQ with enough room that we could play games after we finished our breakfast. Our number was called around 9:20 (they had told us to expect 9:30) and from number called to going through security at Long Beach Int’l Airport it took us just over an hour. Disembarkation was superbly organized, the port uses facial recognition, and the porter has cut-the-line privileges for Customs.

Back at that sweet little airport, we had lots of down time to catch up on emails and even have a nice lunch (although they expected us to actually pay for the food – how rude!).

Back up the boarding ramp and on our way home. another great trip is in the books!
