Up, up, up! October 1, 2024
After a room service breakfast, we hit the gangplank as soon as it opened up, grabbed a cab to the Kahului airport so we could get our rental car. On the way to the airport, the taxi’s radio provided a reminder that the Tsunami warning system would be tested at 11:45 today. Which was good Continue reading

Kauai, day 1, part 2 – September 29, 2024
Once Eve and I had our feet back on the ground, the helicopter company shuttle took us to pick up our car (we had a great rental car from Sixt) and we were on our way back to the Wonder to collect Mom (who had a busy morning doing laundry on board). Many people on Continue reading

Sea Day 4 – September 27, 2024
We were all up early – the clocks falling back an hour for three nights in a row on top of the two hour change we had to get to Seattle has our bodies still a little confused. The nice thing is that we’ll have a late night tonight, so hopefully that will help everything Continue reading

Sea Day 3 – September 26, 2024
Another lovely day at sea! Unfortunately, my notes have gone into the great digital beyond, so today’s entry won’t be as detailed as the others. But – I do know that another beautiful day dawned in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I started the day with a walk around deck 10. (Sadly, deck Continue reading

Sea Day 2 – September 25, 2024
I woke up early this morning – around 6:30, and that was after we turned our clocks back an hour. The sun was barely up and I enjoyed wandering the ship and taking pictures. We were still feeling the motion of the ocean. Prior to sailing, they had tied the foosball tables down! I also Continue reading

At some point during the night, the ship moved from swaying softly into full on rocking. Mom and I were up first this morning and had a lovely breakfast in Triton’s. Off to Azure for Bingo! Jenny from England is super entertaining! While I got to stand for one of the games, none of us Continue reading
